What people ask us before they book
How does it work?
You pick a listing and your dates, then send the owner a request. They accept or decline it from their account. After that, you talk to them in a message thread and arrange the rental between you.
Do I pay on the site?
No. Greek Renting takes no money. You pay the owner directly, in whatever way you have agreed with them.
Does the site take a commission?
No, neither from the traveller nor from the owner.
Do I need an account?
To browse the listings, no. To send a request and read the replies, yes. All it takes is an email address and a password.
Why are some prices “on request”?
The owner would rather give you the exact price for your dates, because a week in June doesn’t cost the same as a week in mid-August. Send your request and they will reply with a figure.
Who puts up the listings?
The owners themselves. Each one is responsible for their own listing.
A listing looks fake to me. What should I do?
Every listing has a “Report” button. We read every report, and a misleading listing is suspended.
Do I need a car?
It depends on the place. Check where the listing is and ask the owner. You’ll find cars and scooters under Vehicles.
Which airport should I choose?
It depends on where you’re going. For Palairos and the area around it, the “Getting to Palairos” page covers flights, roads and ferries.
When is the best time to go?
It depends on the region. For Palairos, Lefkada and Preveza, the calendar on the “When to go to Palairos” page shows the crowds day by day, based on passengers at Aktion airport.
