Five hours on the old shepherds’ paths above Palairos, with 600 m of climbing. You pass a spring and an abandoned hamlet, then come down facing Lefkada.
Walking boots are a must, plus two litres of water each: the guide carries extra. The drive to the trailhead is included. The hike runs from April to June and in October. In summer it is too hot up there after 10am.
